Wow. I've done almost nothing this summer. Sorry guys. I went on a trip without telling you, was back for two seconds, then went on another trip. Also, when I wasn't on trips, I was in a funk and didn't really have the drive to make anything. I decided that I would not come back empty-handed though.
    I made a thing: birddog1198.deviantart.com/art…
I'll try not to suddenly hiatus again, but I have no promises until after school starts, and possibly wont have any then either.

I recently gained a copy of Pokemon Diamond version (which is being loaned to me). I decided that, even though I have had no Gen IV experience, I was going to do a Nuzlocke Challenge run. For those who don't know what that is, here is Bulbapedia's definition of a Nuzlocke.

Now, I would like the help of my Pokemon fan watchers. I have an idea to do an interesting version of a Nuzlocke comic. What this would require two more people: One playing Pokemon Pearl and another playing Platinum. My plan is to have each of us go through sections of the game, then meet back up and weave our progressions of what happens in game together. Then, things split back out into our separate perspectives. We would not be limited to a comic though. I would prefer to use literature rather than traditional or virtual drawing, so whatever medium you wish, we could work with.

I already have a file started with a boy named Diamond gone up to Jubilife City. I chose Piplup as my starter, and would appreciate it if we all chose different starters. We will follow all of the rules mentioned on the Bulbapedia page, but any of the "optional rules" are your choice. Personally, I will use "heal items" ban (minus Berries as held items), Master Ball ban, fainted Pokemon are in a "graveyard box", Shiny Pokemon mercy rule, HM Slave mercy rule, and Day Care ban.

If you want to join me in this quest, comment with the version you wish to play, character gender, character name, and starter Pokemon.

Touhou Project?

3 min read
So, today I asked one of my teachers if he'd seen my flash drive. He pulled out one that looked exactly like mine, but when I checked, it wasn't. My teacher said he had that flag drive for awhile and was going to wipe it and use it himself, but I told him I'd wipe it and use it (since I hadn't found mine.)

I was interested in the flash drive, so I looked through the files to see what was inside. There were things like Minecraft and projects that I had already done that year, so it was pretty clear that this guy had already moved on from this class and wouldn't miss this flash drive. A couple of folders caught my eye. They were both labeled with one word and two different subtitles. The word was Touhou.

I'd heard of this word somewhere else by watching a random LPer on YouTube play a game that was a mix between Touhou and a game called Soltice. I assumed that Touhou was a game series and I was interested now.

A few periods later, I had my laptop out to present a project (during which one guy googled 'sexual intercourse' and another downloaded League of Legends.) I told one of my friends about the flash drive, and he decided to just head head-first into the game. I took control and tried to figure out what I was doing (which I must have done pretty well, because he was convinced I'd played this before.)

The Touhou games are FUN. The best way I can describe it is bullet chaos + anime + classic shooters. I was wondering if anybody out on deviantART knows about these games and can tell me more about how these games work. I've stumbled into a fandom and I'm kind of lost now. I guess you guys are the best place to talk fandom, and if there aren't any people who can talk to me, maybe my watchers and I can all figure out this fandom together.

Keep on dreaming,
~Birddog.

(P.S. I felt like creating a catchphrase rigt then. Still not sure about it as a sign off.)
(P.P.S. Another one of my friends in class told me to download escape from lavender town. I'm scared to start it.)

I got a llama badge! Thank you so much,  :iconreunettue:! It's nice to know that what I do here is appreciated. I'm surprised that somebody would spend their points on me when I don't have much, but it's a good determination towards making more things and getting better.I do have a ways to go, but I'll try to post more and improve my writing (and maybe drawing) skills.

Current Projects - and Their Conditions:
Kingdom of Colors - series of storytelling song lyrics. I could pump out another at any time.
Dreamer of Wind - Current chapter series. Working on Ch. 5.
ARG0 - My little stick figure comic that requires viewer input. I am trying to find a way to upload it, but DA on mobile is frustrating.
PMDU - Will work on it when next mission is out. Decided to stick to writing team, Team Umbra. Team Early Bird comic gets the boot, unfortunately.
Sonnet Saturdays - I have had busy Saturdays. You guys will be lucky to get another one.
The Shopkeeper - I will have to get with my inspirational friend to write a new chapter out.

Possibilities:
Ponies? Pony OC drawn a la FiM?
Inverted Gamers: Series about a couple of teenagers who get thrown about video game worlds. Stupid idea, or no?
Ace Attorney fan works? I've been obsessed with AA lately.

Hey guys! I kinda disappeared for awhile. Sorry! Anyway, in school, I've started reading Shakespeare. His plays are okay, but what I really like are his sonnets. So, I've started a new little tradition for myself. Say hello to Sonnet Saturdays! I know it's a bit late in the day, but at least I remembered to start it. Well, here you go:

Nature of Art

Though disappointment wrings an artist's neck,
So none may be fulfilled with their own grace,
There still shines through the beauty, just a speck,
But artists true show faces of disgrace.
Through deep blue-colored lenses artists see
Their masterpiece, which brings their new fame nigh,
But but nowhere 'cross the land or 'cross the sea,
Has beauty t'was beheld in artist's eye.
Yet art itself is benefit to all.
It cleanses souls of all of those nearby,
And beauty, too, keeps culture from fall.
Without these thing, humans would not get by.
So praise the artist in their suffering
And help them know that their art is supreme.
